Some great quotes from the article:

"Our passion is making bold, beautiful and delicious chocolates and pastries, and it is enormously satisfying to be recognized for our work," she says.

"what sets Robin Chocolates apart from the competition is the quality of the chocolate they use, and the care and pride that go into her ingredients. All chocolates and confections are made by hand, using traditional, time-honored artisanal techniques. Autorino works with suppliers in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Venezuela that produce GMO-free cocoa powders and additive-free fruit purees and nut butters. Her suppliers also work directly with growers and cocoa plantation owners to ensure her ingredients are produced in a fair trade manner. Robin Chocolates' creations are all-natural and use growth hormone-free dairy products and organic ingredients whenever possible."

"One rule I learned in the military is that precision counts. If it doesn't look perfect and taste great, I won't sell it," she says.

And we'll add that in addition to all this, each chocolate is an individual work of art.  Painted with a swirl of luminous color or topped with a delicate gold flakes, every single truffle Robin makes is as gorgeous as it is delicious.

Colorado Artisan Jams, by Dagstani & Sons

We were thrilled to see that one of our jam makers - Dagstani & Sons - was featured as a Warby Parker Class Trip this August. We've been big fans of what Raj is doing since the beginning of Colorado Crafted. Even more lovely is the fact that he works side by side with his two young sons.

Raj once described his jams to me as being "manly jams", a concept which always makes me giggle. I'm not really sure what makes a jam manly, but I do know that Raj's creations are always amazing.  We've been big fans of his Pear Vanilla preserves, which feature specks of fresh vanilla bean throughout; we've also gone through a few cases of his Rhubarb Ginger preserves.  And now we're anxiously awaiting his latest flavor for fall & the holidays - Blackberry Pear!

Check out the article & pics by Warby Parker, they're really wonderful!
