Sundance Film Festival is coming to Boulder in January 2027, and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of the events and experiences that will be created around the festival.
We're here to help welcome guests to Boulder with a thoughtful gift that becomes a memorable touchpoint and part of the Sundance experience. This gesture is an opportunity to introduce visitors to the real Boulder—not just put another piece of branded swag in their hotel room.
What makes a gift feel authentically Boulder?
So, how do you give someone an authentic sense of Boulder without making the gift feel touristy or cheesy? Glad you asked! Here are some of our thoughts on the topic:
- Aim for local, but not touristy. Your guests don't necessarily need a tshirt that says Boulder on it...but what if you gifted a beautiful bar of chocolate from a maker based in Boulder? Your gift transforms from standard souvenir into something special made by a person who is actually a part of Boulder.
- Be sophisticated and a little unexpected. Sharing something your guests may not have discovered on their own is the goal here. Creating the feeling that someone with good taste had gone into a local shop and said "You have to try this!"
- Capture the essence of the region. What makes our city special? It's our beautiful nature, focus on wellness and creativity, independent makers, and an appreciation for quality.

Typical Price Points for Boulder Welcome Gifts
Sometimes it's helpful to have a little guidance on what you can expect to get at different price points. Based on our experience in the local market, here are some numbers to keep in mind. These are not set in stone, just a helpful framework for you to keep in mind!
- The thoughtful welcome or hotel amenity. $25-35 per guest. This is typically a collection of a 3-5 smaller products that can be enjoyed by your guests right away. Think snacks, sweets, drinks, lip balm & lotion for our dry climate, etc. Packaging can be minimal or custom and branded for larger (100+) orders.
- The elevated welcome. $50-80 per guest. This price point allows for the inclusion of local snacks and sweets alongside an elevated take-home item or two. Subtle branding touches can also be added at the higher end of this range.
- The premium or VIP gift. $100+. At this level we can look at higher end products, a combination of gourmet foods and sophisticated keepsakes, plus customized branding and presentation.
